Republican Campaign Chief in House Sees Trump’s Influence Strengthening in Key Swing Districts

House Republican leaders are saying they are pretty sure they will win more seats in the 2024 elections. They think Donald Trump, who used to be the President, will help them win in housing areas where people mostly voted for Joe Biden last time.

For a while, it seemed like Republicans might not do well in the election because they could not agree on things and had some big fights. But now, things seem better for them. Some Democrats are modest from districts where Republicans have a chance to win, and many people don’t like how President Biden is doing his job.

Republicans believe Trump will help them win in 17 areas where Biden won last time, even though Trump has some legal problems and struggles with some voters.

One Republican leader, Richard Hudson from North Carolina, thinks Trump is popular and will bring out more voters, which is good for Republicans. He even says it won’t matter if Trump gets in trouble with the law he will still help them win.

Republicans are sticking with Trump, even though some people don’t like him. They hope Trump’s supporters will help all Republican candidates win, no matter what.

Democrats are happy about this because they think it shows how extreme the Republican Party has become. They say there aren’t many moderate Republicans left in Congress.
